DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Nov. 1, 2011) – In response to growing concern among students and staff at Daytona State College, a 5K race will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 on the college’s DeLand Campus to raise awareness about tobacco products and to recognize the college’s “no smoking under covered areas” policies.
Advance registration for the “A Breath of Fresh Air 5K” is $20 or $25 on the day. Participants will receive a tee shirt and awards will be presented in 14 different age categories for male and female runners. In addition, awards will be given to the fastest runners from teams comprised of three runners, at least one of which must be female, from any Daytona State College regional campus, department, and student club.
