DAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 24, 2011) - Make plans to attend a Spring Open House during April at one of five Daytona State College campuses for a chance to win a $500 scholarship provided by the Daytona State Foundation - two drawings per campus!
Speak with college representatives about programs offered at Daytona State. Learn about bachelor of applied science, bachelor of science in education, bachelor of science in engineering technology, associate of arts, associate of science, and certificate programs. Speak with Financial Aid experts to determine how to access funds needed to pursue higher education. In addition, there will be a Dual Enrollment presentation for students who would like to get started on college while still in high school.

Refreshments will be provided and each Open House provides an opportunity to win a $500 Daytona State scholarship (must be present to win, two scholarship drawings per Open House) presented by the Daytona State College Foundation.
In addition, an Honors College Information Session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. on the Daytona Beach Campus in Building 1200, Room 203. The Honors College is dedicated to providing students with a broad education that prepares them for a lifetime of learning. It offers students a small college experience with resources that are often limited to universities.
For students interested in pursuing a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, a GED Information Session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 19 at 6 p.m. on the New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater Campus. The GED is a great tool for not only improving your career, but also opening new doors to opportunity. Learn more about the free classes offered through Daytona State College that will give you the skills needed to successfully progress into college-level or career training programs.
